Not too long ago, we gave an initial test with the Fotodiox WonderBurst Hss8000 triggers. From the news announcement, the company claimed high speed sync with nearly any camera and studio light. In our test though, we begged to differ. After contacting the company and telling them about our test results, we just received this email from one of the company’s reps.
“Chris, thank you for bringing this to our attention. After more testing and user feedback, we have encountered compatibility issues with the Canon Mark series, and other high-end full frame cameras, when used with the WonderBurst HSS8000. There appears to be a problem at the manufacturing level and we apologize for the inconvenience. If you have a Canon Rebel (T2i, T3, etc) or prosumer series camera (40D, 50D, 7D), we would encourage you to use it with another camera model if possible to continue testing its functionality.”
Hopefully the company can fix the issues at hand; this would be big news for the strobist and studio world if the company can get around the issues.
