From the founders of Think Tank emerges a new brand for outdoor photographers. MindShift Gear is a brand that encourages you to engage with nature and basically become an outdoor photographer. The Rotation180 is the first bag from the new brand and features some really interesting tweaks on other backpacks out there.
There are a five key features to the Rotation180 are the rotating camera waist pack (as you can see above), four ways to carry a tripod, optional insert for additional photo gear, five additional outer pockets for personal gear and a full size hydration bladder.
A magnetic buckle allows you to move around the waist pack within a few seconds so you can quickly access all of your gear. Normally with a backpack you have to remove it several times during a shoot to access gear and this can become tiresome or annoying. MindShift says:
“The rotation180o professional lets photographers maintain their creative momentum when working in the field. Since the backpack does not have to be taken off, the photographer can continue walking, hiking, or climbing, focusing on taking pictures, as opposed to taking the pack on and off. In addition, sensitive camera equipment is less likely to come in contact with destructive dust, mud, water and sand. ”
The above image shows the four ways you can carry your tripod. I am actually excited about the idea of carrying my tripod in ready position just so I don’t have to open and close it each time in the cold.
Details are very scarce at the moment for the new bag but I am sure we will be seeing a lot more of MindShift and their Rotation180 bag in the coming days.
