Today, Wanderlust Cameras announced Pinwide: what the company claims to be the world’s widest digital pinhole cap! Because the Micro 4/3 system cameras have no mirror the pinwide recesses the cap into the body of the camera. In turn, the Pinewide can deliver a super wide angle of 11mm (22mm equivalent due to the 4/3rds crop factor.) The geekier part is that the pinwide is made with etching technology used to manufacture semicoductors to achieve better sharpness. It has an aperture of f/96-128. That means that you’ll be cranking up the ISOs quite a bit!

The pinwide is available in the US $39.99 preorder pricing. You can also go here to see sample photos.
