Joby Announces Their First, “Ultra Comfortable Camera Straps” and More

by Bobby Zhang on 10/24/2012

We’ve seen a variety of camera straps in our lifetime, ranging from the standard straps that we get from a DSLR purchase to the high quality straps such as the Wapiti Strap that we can’t believe exists. Joby is looking to join the latter category with their UltraFit Sling Strap and the 3-Way Camera Strap. These straps integrate comfort, style, and utility into a highly promising product.

The UltraFit Sling goes around your chest for a more comfortable experience than those that just sit around your neck the whole day. It also prevents any neck pains using a nicely layered pad that spreads out the weight of your camera. Aside from comfort, it also allows your access your camera quickly using their SpeedCinch system which is essentially a pull strap that loosens the camera for shooting mode. Pull it again and it’s securely back to your side.

The UltraFit Sling comes in two varieties: one for men and another for women and retails for $49.99.

The 3-Way Camera Strap functions exactly as it sounds. It has three different ways of working; it can be for your wrist, shoulder, or neck. This works through a retractable cable that connects from your DSLR to the padded strap. Simply unlock the mechanism and pull to change the wearing positions. This is extremely useful if you like to hold your camera in a particular way or prefer to change holding positions in different scenarios. The 3-Way Camera Strap is available for $39.99.

If you’re an avid iPhoneographer, Joby’s got you covered too. Their Griptight collection offers a stand for your mobile device in all-terrain situations for some awesome and creative angles. They will run you between $19.95 to $29.95.
