The Next GFX And X1D Cameras May Feature 100MP Sony Sensors

The GFX and XD systems could be getting a huge resolution upgrade in their next generation cameras

But at 50MP there was not a huge boost in resolution over some of the higher resolution 35mm cameras. Many posed the question of what the point was in moving to one of these systems when the boost in image quality was negligible to most eyes.

Lexar Announces New 25-in-1 Card Reader With Clamshell Design

After announcing their new SDXC card on steroids, Lexar has announced a new 25-in-1 multi-card reader with USB 3.0 connectivity. The company claims that is can deliver read speeds of up to 5x the speed of USB 2.0 (500MB/s) and the reader can also transfer from card to card. The reader has 5 different slots for your choice of memory card: CF, SD, micro SD, XD and Memory Stick.

Plus, the design is a clamshell: which protects the ports when they’re not in use and when the reader is being transported.

The reader comes with a one year warranty and will be available for both Mac and PC. It will retail for $39.99 and is available for purchase now.
