The Panasonic GX85 Sports a Special Monochrome Mode

Today, Panasonic is announcing the new Panasonic GX85–a camera that wasn’t such a well kept secret. The Panasonic GX85 has a 16MP Four Thirds sensor that has had the low pass filter removed. It also has 5 axis stabilization. The camera can also shoot 4k video, has post-focus mode, can shoot at up to 8fps, and claims low light focusing abilities down to -4EV.

Even cooler: it’s got a special new L Monochrome mode that appeals to the black and white photographer in all of us. It’ll be available at the end of May for $799.99. The press release is after the jump.
