Just imagine how much bandwidth folks might be using when they try to upload their 4K videos to the web. Well, that’s what the brand new Acer Liquid S2 smartphone will allow you to do. At IFA, the company has announced that the 6 inch Android device (yes, that’s huge) is the world’s first smartphone to be able to accomplish such a feat. For what it’s worth though, most televisions can’t handle 4K content–but the iPad can.
Specwise according to Engadget, the phone sports a 1080p IPS display, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 800 processor, an LED flash in the shape of a ring around the 13MP f2.2 camera, Gorilla Glass, 2MP front camera and more.
CNET is stating that it can shoot 1080p HD video at 60p.
Who ever thought that a phone would beat most cameras to the 4K video punch?
