There were rumors, and more rumors, and even more rumors about a new Leica SL mirrorless full frame 35mm sensor camera. Today, those rumors are shattered because it turns out that the new camera is actually a thing.
It has a weather sealed aluminum body, a 24MP CMOS sensor, can shoot at 11fps, has an ISO range of 50-50,000, uses contrast AF, can shoot 4k video at 24p (which is more important honestly than 60p), WiFi and NFC, a touch screen, and uses a new Leica L mount for brand new lenses. However, it’s going to cost you well over $7,000.
More details and specs are after the jump.
