Fujifilm Europe today announced firmware updates for all its X-mount bodies, providing the cameras with compatibility to the upcoming 56mm f1.2 portrait lens. The new firmware also makes sure that autofocus and metering work correctly on each camera when the 56mm f1.2 is attached.
In addition to the firmware updates for the X-mount bodies, Fujifilm Europe also announced firmware updates for some X-mount lenses. The XC 16-50mm, the XF 18-55mm and the XF 50-200mm all receive updates that improve image stabilization during both movie and still shooting. The XC 16-50mm’s new firmware also fixes a bug where the aperture would always be displayed as ‘5.6,’ and the 18-55mm and 50-200mm’s new firmware versions fix an autofocus issue in continuous shooting mode with the X-E2 and the X-T1.
The firmware updates can be downloaded from Fujifilm Europe’s support site.
