In a blog post today, 500PX announced an upgrade to their portfolios. For those not in the know, Portfolios are basically a website. I’ve got one for an example. But what’s so important about these new ones is that you’ll get, “full CSS customization (for the brave), Store integration with your Portfolio (so that your visitors can buy your photos straight from your website), and Blog integration, allowing you to stay in touch with your readers, visitors and customers.” according to the announcement.
Are you lost? Okay–CSS is a coding language and it’s the mainframe behind websites like WordPress. However, it means that you can integrate it easier into your website. Ryan Brenizer has that in his Portfolio section.
And of course there is a price bump. Starting May 1st, the Plus account will be just $25/year, and Awesome account $75/year. But current members can lock in the old price for years to come by extending the account at the current price before May 1st.
