Technicolor announced their Color Assist software some time ago and at NAB 2013 they have a surprise for the happy FCPX fans out there. Starting today, the Color Assist software will support a a roundtrip option for applying any of the color edits capable with the software. Apple put their application Color out to the pasture sometime ago and it’s left a void that’s lacked attention.
Color Assist is capable of applying many color presets, three way color editing, key selector and curve adjustments. A cool trick that Technicolor has up its sleeves is that the software allows you to save up to 9 versions of your grade. This saves you less time going in and out of Color Assist trying to get your favorite version.
Color Assist is available for Mac and PC supporting Premiere Pro 5.5, 6, Final Cut 7 and now Final Cut Pro X. The software is available for $99, more information and a trial can be acquired from their site.
