The Impossible Project Announces New Color Protection Film and Hardware Concepts

The Impossible Project has been a roll as of late with the announcement of their new 8×10 Instant Film and their development of their Digital to Analog conversion lab. But today at Photokina, they’re showcasing a new film. The company has been working on film for Polaroid 600 and SX 70 cameras for a while and ran into a lot of problems along the way. I remember the formula wasn’t always stable, or the colors just weren’t really there. But now, they’re announcing their new color protection film: which is designed to reduce color fading over time.

They’re also announced that their Digital to Analog conversion lab kit has reached it successful target on Kickstarter and that they’re now hard at work trying to produce it.

From some of the samples available online, it looks beautiful with deeply saturated colors and lots of contrast. The new Color Protection Formula film is available or purchase online for $23.49.  Some sample images are after the jump.
