There’s a new trend: screenless digital cameras. Yes, Gen Z and so many others are very sick of looking at screens these days. So, to bring us back to a bit more authenticity, lots of new cameras have been launched that forego the screen. Luckily for you, we’ve reviewed lots of them. Here are the three best screeenless digicams that Gen Z will love for different reasons.

Escura

By all means, the Escura camera is something that most other people will think is kind of crappy. But at the same time, that’s the vibe that folks in Gen Z love. It’s boasting a 1.3MP imaging sensor, no screen, and a super simple layout. Plus, it’s very affordable. Some of us might remember the old flip-style Nokia phones from the early 2000s. And that’s what the output from this camera reminds me of.

Camp Snap

“Right from the start, everyone I showed it to fell in love with the looks,” I said in my review of the Camp Snap camera. “…It’s designed to look and feel like a disposable camera. But it’s not. In fact, the company did quite a bit of keep it at around $45. I gave this camera away to a dear friend who is a member of Gen Z; and she’s using it while abroad. In fact, she’s still very much so, in love with it and the images it gives. Gen Z in many ways wants to disconnect from social media and just embrace the real world more. So they love cameras like this.
DigiFilm

I called the Digifilm camera the best camera of summer 2025; and I really mean that. It takes the ideas that Camp Snap offers and boosts them just a bit more. It can apply retro filters to the images that you’re bound to really, really love. Plus it’s simple to use, has useable battery life, is small, and costs only around $70. We gave it an Editor’s Choice award for great reasons.
