The CP+ Show has finally concluded, and with this, we finally get to see some excellent lenses and cameras for 2025. As we said earlier, the CP+ Show will actually help us understand better what manufacturers have in mind for 2025 and whether it will excite the general audience or not. Without further ado, here is a list of equipment the trade show has revealed that we think is really worth talking about.

Schneider Kreuznach x LK Samyang
According to Photo Rumors, Samyang has unveiled a new lens, which is a 14-24mm f2.8 for Sony E-mount. At the moment, the information it built is scarce, but we know the following from Sony Alpha Rumors:
- It is the world’s first 14-24mm (Sony E) compatible super-wide zoom lens that allows front filters (77mm filter size)

- Can shoot close-up from just 0.18m
- Compact and weighs only 445g
This has surprised Sony users because Schneider Kreuznach is a German lens manufacturer brand that is joining a South Korean manufacturer. The results remain to be seen.
7Artisans
7Artisans have also announced two new lenses: the AF 35mm f1.4 and 24mm f1.8. While there are no details about the lenses, the company has unveiled its images through its Instagram account. Furthermore, the company is having an open call for reviews to text the new 35mm, which is for Fujifilm’s APS-C mount.

According to Mirrorless Rumors, the company also showcased four new lenses in addition to the two mentioned above: AF 35mm f2.8 full-frame, AF 25mm f1.8 APS-C, AF 35mm f1.8 APS-C, and AF 50mm f1.8 APS-C.
Viltrox
Sony Alpha Rumors has shared the new images of the upcoming Viltrox lenses from the CP+ Show. Here they are the images of three of them: 35mm f1.2 Lab FE, 85mm f1.4 Pro FE, and 50mm f2 Air FE.

According to rumors, the 35mm is a state-of-the-art lens perfect for travel, streets, events, weddings, and more. The 85mm is for portrait photographers who want sharpness and bokeh, while the 50mm is for almost everyday use. The 135mm is a cine lens.
TTartisan
The company has finally announced the much-teased foldable camera from the makers. This device is retro-looking and comes with a small cooke lens. The foldable design will win many Gen Z over, and it also is available in four colors: black, red, orange, and blue. So far, the company has only unveiled the camera and not its specs.

Venus Optics
Venus Optics had teased several lenses before the CP+ Show, and according to Photo Rumors, the following lenses are expected to be unveiled in the next few days:
- Laowa 35mm f2.8 tilt-shift 0.5X macro: This versitle lens will offer control and 1:1 macro capabilities for macro photography.
- Laowa 15mm f4.5 wide-angle macro: A unique lens allowing photographers to capture close-up images with depth.
- Laowa 8-15mm f2.8 fisheye: A Fast, ultra-wide fisheye zoom lens, for both videos and stills.
- Laowa Proteus 2X anamorphic zoom series: Light, compact, and offers a 3x zoom range across two focal lengths (26-45mm & 45-85mm T2.9).
- Laowa Ultima 12-120mm T4 8K S35 broadcast zoom: Features 10X zoom ratio and performance.
In addition to these, Sony launched its two highly anticipated lenses, Canon unveiled its compact camera, Sigma showcased the BF camera, Panasonic introduced the S1R II, and Zeiss introduced its comeback lenses, the Otus lineup, at the CP+ Show. However, the variety of lenses has truly had me thinking about consumers. Perhaps, since they are cost-effective alternatives, people may be demanding from third-party lens makers. But one will only know of their quality when they test them. Stay tuned for more!
