It’s that time of year when the Association of Photographers (AOP) unveils the best images from its awards. This AOP, which was first called the Association of Fashion and Advertising Photographers, was created to recognize photographic talent at various stages in their careers. The awards, now in their 39th edition, have finally chosen their winners across various categories. The images showcase the range of winners and the advancement of the technology itself. Without further ado, here’s a look at the winners of the AOP Awards.

But Before We Get to The Winners…
The Association’s goal has been to promote and protect the works of its members, who are some prestigious names in the industry. They also help photographers with both educational and legal matters. Overall, they hope to build a community of professionals that can’t be found anywhere.
With the AOP Awards, there are no overall winners. Instead, the community chooses two winners in their ten diverse categories. Since the aim is to highlight some of the best work that appeared in advertising and brand campaigns, the categories reflect these choices, such as Best Commissioned Work, Best Personal Work, and so on. Another award helps to select the skills of the best retoucher in the industry.
Isabelle Doran, CEO of the Association of Photographers, said about the winners: “Such a stunning array of winning images by our professional photographers for this year’s Awards – they are all so different, but equally arresting and thought-provoking, enabling us as viewers to consider the human stories either in front of or behind the lens in a myriad of ways.”
