When it comes to choosing the perfect camera for travel, one often ends up looking at full frame models. They do help you gather light better in low light, but they are also quite expensive. However, if you are someone who is looking to buy a camera that meets your needs, then this APS-C offering is just as wonderful. Have a look.
The camera is the Canon R7, packed with a 32MP sensor, a burst rate of 30fps, and IBIS up to 7 stops. The device also has a lot going for it. In addition to great specs, the device also feature a lovely build. It is rugged, can withstand rain and dust, and the shutter comes down when the camera is turned off. I had the pleasure of taking it to the mountains, and it survived the cold as well as the city heat at the same time. It feels nice in your hands, and all the buttons at the back are quite accessible as well.

Like the build, you will also adore the kind of images you can make with the APS-C camera. It offers vivid JPEGs, which may require minimal editing of highlights and shadow. The RAW is versatile, but for social media use, you won’t really need it. Images at ISO 12,800 are pretty clean as JPEG and if you are shooting RAW, then stick to ISO 6400. During my trip, I shot the stars, the landscapes, and the people of Himachal Pradesh, and I have minimally edited the photos above for shadows.
As the spiritual successor to the Canon 7D series, the EOS R7 performs very well across the board. The changes to the ergonomics will be welcoming to new customers, and possibly divisive amongst the Canon loyalists. The build quality is outstanding when paired with equally weather-resistant lenses. And the image quality is a fascinating thing to talk about.

I largely used the 18-55mm kit lens, and once one, I did not feel the need to change lenses. The autofocus was relatively fast in bright light and, even in low light, it was able to latch onto the subject. In our review, we found AF-on helps one to get the best results, and rarely loses track of the subjects. In fact, it is one of of the better APS-C models when it comes to focusing ability.
There are reports of the Canon R7 II launching this year. However, you have to take it with a pinch of salt, since no concrete evidence has been revealed. Priced under $1500, the Canon R7 is quite a force to work with. It is a camera that does not disappoint, and that is one of the reasons why people will continue to turn to Canon.
