Manfrotto gives professionals on the go more options by adding three premium models to their award-winning traveler tripods.
If you’re doing a lot of travel photography, landscape photography, and videography, you might be interested in Manfrotto’s latest additions to their Befree traveler tripods. Now, professional photographers and videographers have more options with the release of the carbon fiber versions of the Befree Advanced, Befree Live, and the new Befree GT collection.
The Befree Advanced Carbon Fiber travel tripod has carbon fiber legs that provide best performance, rigidity, stability, and support to help you get your best shots — all in a package that weighs only 2.75 lbs. As with the aluminum model, this version can also be fitted with Manfrotto’s updated 494 Center Ball Head with friction control.
The new Befree GT travel tripod comes in aluminum and carbon fiber versions, features an ergonomic design drawn from the Befree Advanced, and uses the new Manfrotto 496 Center Ball Head with fiction control. It folds down to 17 inches and supports up to 22 lbs of equipment, making it a top choice for professionals who are looking for the perfect combination of portability and reliable stability.
The Befree Advanced Carbon Fiber and Befree GT tripods both feature the M-lock, Manfrotto’s new twist lock developed for improved compactness and enhanced speed of use. This makes them perfect for carrying in a backpack and setting up quickly. They also have ergonomic leg-angle selectors that allow photographers to set them to three independent angles. As with Manfrotto’s professional 190 and 055 tripods, they also feature the Easy Link for the lightweight, solid spider, allowing photographers to add accessories like lights, monitors, and reflectors. These new tripods also use the 200PL-PRO plate that allows full compatibility with the Manfrotto RC2 and Arca-swiss style head attachments.
Lastly, Befree Live Carbon Fiber is a lightweight, ergonomic video travel tripod for use with DSLRs, compact system cameras, and small camcorders. Small in size and just weighs 3 lbs, it has the same tripod legs as the Befree Advanced Carbon, but with an additional leveling column for setting up horizontally or on uneven surfaces. It also uses the Befree Live Fluid Head that maintains the balance of the camera and enables fluid drag when panning and tilting.
