Today Fujifilm announced both a firmware update for the X-T2 camera along with an all-new tethered shooting software plug-in for Adobe Lightroom. The upcoming release of Firmware ver. 1.10 will introduce a tethered shooting function to the camera allowing users to connect the X-T2 to a computer via USB cable and save images directly to their computer during capture. Users will also be able to control the camera directly from the computer via a variety of settings. The update will be free and available for download on November 8, 2016.

Additionally, Fujifilm announced the all-new Tether Shooting Plug-in PRO for Lightroom. The software will allow X-T1/X-T2 users to connect their cameras to their computer and use Lightroom for capturing images plus control their camera from within the software. The Mac OS X/Sierra version is schedule for an early November 2016 release with the Windows release following suit in December 2016. Tether Shooting Plug-in PRO for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom will be available from Adobe’s Add-ons website for $79(USD).
