To all our DIY readers, here’s a cool new and simple project that you can do while you take a breather from all your hard work this weekend. The photography-lovin’ folks over at Photojojo have thought of a fun way to jazz up your prints.

As it turns out, embroidery and photography mix well together. Photojojo.com just published a new tutorial that demonstrates how you can primp, dress up, and add more color into your photos while showing off your sewing skills at the same time. All you need are embroidery thread, a sewing needle, a seam ripper, a foam mat, scissors, and of course, your printed photos. If you’re a dabbler in the art, you probably have most, if not all, of these things just lying around the house already. You can sew cool patterns on your subjects in the photos or even take it further by stitching your photos together to create a collage or a photo curtain. Your finished products will make for great gifts or quaint decor at home.

It’s as easy as pie; and if you can’t figure it out yourself, which I very much doubt, they have the step-by-step process here just for you.
