Competition doesn’t sleep so the continuous amount of announcements keep on coming.Today we have a new point and shoot from Olympus and it is a beauty. Remember that awesome point and shoot that came out with the fast f/1.8 lens awhile back? That was the XZ-1 and the new XZ-10 keeps that fancy lens but adds some new welcomed changes. Lets take a dive into the big changes.
Olympus XZ-10

The new XZ-10 features a new BSI (backside illuminated) 1/2.3″ CMOS 12mp sensor that will be able to capture images up to ISO 12,800. The camera is keeping the same fabulous f/1.8 lens but will be adding the ability to do up to 5x optical zoom and 10x “super resolution zoom”. The camera will be able to record 1080p movies but also 720p movies up to 120fps, this is a very welcomed feature for those looking to shoot some creative movies.

A lot of PEN features will be making their way over to the XZ-10 including art filters, a touch screen and the same interface that those models have had. This kind of consistency is something other other manufacturers need to note.
