Lensbaby Pro Effects Kit Comes With Everything You Need

Lensbaby just introduced the Pro Effects Kit, a collection of Lensbaby products to get you started with Lensbaby photography. The kit contains the Composer Pro module, the Sweet 35 and Edge 80 optics, an 8mm and a 16mm macro converter, a microfiber lens cleaning cloth and a bag to tuck it all away. With two focal lengths that cover everything from moderate wide-angle to short telephoto, the tiltable Composer Pro module and the macro converters, this kit really contains everything you need. From landscapes to protraits, from flower details to product shots, or just for some creative experimenting — there isn’t much that can’t be done with this kit. However, it comes at a price. At US-$ 750, it is still better value for money than buying each product seperately, though.

Pro Effects Kit Specs

Composer Pro:

• Refined metal ball design delivers ultra-smooth focus and tilt control
• Ships with the Sweet 35 Optic installed
• Compatible with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System

• Tilts from zero to 17.5 degrees

Sweet 35 Optic:

• Focal Length: 35mm
• 12-blade internal aperture, controlled by dial on the front of the optic
• Aperture range from f/2.5 through f/22
• Selective focus optic (creates a sweet spot of focus surrounded by gradual blur)
• Focuses from approximately 7.5” to infinity from the front of the optic when used with Composer, 6.5” with Scout, and 3” with Muse and Control Freak
• 4 optically coated glass elements, in three groups
• 46mm front threads (will only work with the Lensbaby Macro Converter and not the 37mm Lensbaby Accessories)

Edge 80 Optic:

• Focal Length: 80mm
• 12-blade internal aperture, controlled by dial on the front of the optic
• Aperture range from f/2.8 through f/22
• Flat field of focus optic (when tilted, creates a slice of shart focus, bordered by blur)
• Minimum focusing distance:  approximately 17″ when the optic is extended forward in macro mode and fully tilted
• Maximum focusing distance: infinity
• 5 multi-coated glass elements, in four groups
• 46mm front threads (will only work with the Lensbaby Macro Converter and not the 37mm Lensbaby Accessories)

Macro Converters:

• The Lensbaby Macro Converters includes one 8mm converter & one 16mm converter
• Stacked together they become a 24mm converter
• Compatible with all Lensbaby lens bodies and optics
• Focus range – please see chart below

Bag:

• Sturdy yet flexible construction
• Inside, convenient mesh pocket for additional storage
• Carrying handle with option to attach included shoulder strap
• Strong Velcro straps enable one Lensbaby System Bag to attach to another
• Zippered outside pocket
• Corner flaps enable photographers to easily and quickly access items at corners of bag without opening entire bag
