Field Review: Canon T3i (Day 2)

In Day 1, we gave some first impressions of the Canon T3i and we also did a quick video test. When I first got the unit, the RAW file support wasn’t released yet. With that said, I decided to test out the creative filters in the camera, which, to be quite honest, are a bit underwhelming.

Canon T3i RAW Image Samples at Our Facebook Page!

Just an FYI everyone, I’m testing out the Canon T3i. On our Facebook page, we’ve got an album with a couple of T3i image samples I shot with the Canon 35mm F/1.4 L. These were RAW images that were processed with the newly released Lightroom 3.4 RC. You may also want to look at our video test, Day 1, and our analysis.

Just when we thought we made it easier for you, Canon went and announced the Canon T3i and T3 DSLRs, effectively replacing the Canon T2i in almost every way: or did they? Look a little bit closer at these two new cameras and you’ll see that there is a clear difference of who they are targeting. Additionally, it makes the choices between the two Rebels and 60D much easier.
