Ricoh’s Theta line of 360 degree ‘VR’ cameras have been a popular choice for people all over, but with their high-end ‘S’ model fetching a pretty penny, and the lower end ‘M15’ model not offering the same quality or performance, the company needed to address those needing a quality option under that $300 price point. Today they revealed their answer to that problem, the new Theta SC.
Ricoh is describing the Theta SC as their mid-range 360-degree VR option, featuring much of the performance and quality of the Theta S in an easier to use and lighter weight package.

Theta SC Specs
- 14MP Still Images
- CMOS Sensor
- Dual Wide Angle Lenses
- 1080p Video Output
- 8GB Internal Storage
- Around 260 Images per Battery Charge
According to Ricoh the Theta SC will be available starting today and will retail for $299.95, making it a fiarly attractive option for those looking to get into 360-degree content creation without breaking the bank.
More information about the new Theta SC can be found over on the Ricoh website, here.
