Nanlite’s Photography Accessories For Portraits
A good portrait has various elements including the use of types of light. However, often, it becomes difficult to control the harshness of the light, and that’s a diffuser, aka a softbox, comes in handy. Nanlite offers two sizes of the octagonal softbox for its FM mount: 40cm and 60cm. Both feature removable fronts and the reflective interior aims to help with greatly lit portraits. Both diffusers are compatible with Nanliet’s lights. The 40cm softbox is priced at $54.90, while the 60cm one charges $10 more at $64.90. Both also feature silver reflective interiors and weigh less than a kg.
Since we have not reviewed Benro before, we can’t comment on its performance, but looking at its specifications and price, it certainly sounds like a good deal. As for Nanlite, we reviewed its Nanlite Forza B, which we liked its performance but didn’t find too useful for photographers. Moreover, since Nanlite’s octagonal softboxes are specifically designed for their products, then it would not make sense for you to use it. This may be a useful addition unless you already have a light from them.
