If you look at it, there are two schools of thought in photography. There’s gear and photos. Some people are great with gear. Other people are great photographers. Just because you’ve got an expensive camera, it won’t mean that you can shoot a great photo. More importantly, it doesn’t mean that you also understand how to create a great photo, the idea of a moment, etc. I’ve also met a ton of photographers really into their art that barely know how to use their cameras.
