I can’t believe my time with this lens has come to an end. I’m pretty bummed. I really enjoyed the time I’ve spent shooting with this lens. Currently, I do not have a need for a 85mm lens but if I ever do, I can guarantee you that this lens will be at the top of my list.

Sony a580
As 2011 rushed to a close, so did my opportunity to get a new camera. When I purchased a580, B&H had one left in stock. I pounced on the opportunity, and from there, my photographic career took a new turn. The a580 packs a 16.2 MP sensor with 95% OVF coverage – 100% in Focus Check Live View mode. Recently I wrote about styles of photography. This made me think and look into other styles of photography. Some styles of photography I have tried. Some styles I will not be able to try, but it is good to know they exist. I believe you must try everything once to discover what you want to try again.

Wedding photographers that use Canon have a huge interest in the Canon 1D Mk IV. Technicalities that are of interest to this group is above all else High ISO performance. Go to any forum and read about most wedding photographers and how often they try to avoid the higher ISO settings on their cameras. To show you what the images look like at each ISO setting here are all the images on display for you one right after another. All images were taken at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to simulate a church setting. To take these images, the camera was set in Aperture priority where I rested on one of the pews (after genuflecting towards the alter and blessing myself with holy water of course, I’m a catholic school boy) and just adjusted the ISO setting while shooting the images.
