Field Review: Canon G11 (Day 1)

Despite the fact that point-and-shoot cameras are not often reviewed here, the Canon G11 is a camera that is surely worth it. As being the closest thing to be a competitor to the Micro Four Thirds cameras (besides the Rebels) this large compact cam can sure hold its own. Here are my initial impressions.

Field Review (Day 2): Leica D-Lux 4

As I started Day 2 of the field review, the Leica D-Lux 4 has been with me almost the entire day. It truly feels like a companion camera. I took it with me today to get some laundry done in my neighborhood and shot a couple of things as well. My thoughts and samples are ahead. And if you missed it, here’s Day 1′s findings.

Hands On Review: Panasonic ZS-7

Last week, the Panasonic folks invited me over for some personal fondling time with their cameras. The ZS-7 stood out the most to me because of the feature set and the types of cameras that the readers of this blog usually use (even more so than the TS2.) Though it isn’t the LX3, it is still quite an advanced camera, quite a beauty and loaded with all sorts of bells and whistles. More on this all after the jump.
