It should not be overlooked. I had a few moments to visit CRU DataPort a company that has been in the business for a while and known famously for their tough military spec. products.

GorillaPod SLR-Zoom
Joby has been creating their signature GorillaPods for quite some time now. They have been the perfect little throw in your bag, go anywhere tripod. The big plus with GorillaPods are that they effectively made anything into a tripod. Wrap the GorillaPod around practically anything to create an instant tripod.
For a while, GorillaPods where only made for use with small compact cameras due to the weight of the bigger DSLR’s on the market. Luckily Joby stepped up and created the SLR-Zoom GorillaPod

Sometimes our readers ask for us to review higher end gear. With that in mind we decided to test the Profoto D1 Studio Kit 500/500 with Air. It’s fairly undisputed that Profoto is the best-of-breed for studio lighting and chances are pretty high that if you walk into a professional studio and rent their gear you’ll be handed Profoto power packs and heads. They’re reliable, consistent, fast, durable and include every feature the demanding professional expects. They’re not as well known for their more portable monolights, so how let’s see how they stand up.

The Zoom H4n has become a very popular gadget due to DSLRs’ full 1080 HD video capability. This added functionality is great for not only still photographers who buy HDSLRs (High Definition SLRs), but also for videographers who can’t splurge on professional video cameras. The only issue is that an HDSLR’s audio does not sound very good. The sound might be good for home movies, but if you are using your camera to shoot professional quality movies then you need a different solution for recording sound.

Impact LiteTrek Kit (with optional stand)
I love light. Without it, we can’t create photographs. The more light we have available to us and the better we can control it the greater the possibilities to express ourselves through our photos. Because of this I became a studio photographer. However, studios become boring unless you can build complex sets or have the budgets to hire people to. Sometimes I mix it up with location shoots, but the problem there is that I lose a lot of the control of light that I enjoy in the studio. Can I have both?
