I spent a bit of time hunting around looking at deals and rebates on B&H’s web page and found a couple of good things.

- There are a slew of Mirrorless Cameras including our very highly rated Sony NEX C3.

- A whole load of Canon DSLR rebates on 5D Mk IIs, 7Ds and others. But there are rebates on DSLRs, lenses, flashes, and macro-lights, in general too.

- If you’re more into lighting: there are over 120 items available with rebates right now; plus modifiers!

When it came to lenses, however, I had some serious issues with it. When Pentax recently announced the K-01 the first thought I had was, “They got it right!” [click to continue…]

What’s In My Bag: Andy Hendriksen Edition

by Andy Hendriksen on February 15, 2012

I’m the new guy here at The Phoblographer, so it’s time I inaugurate myself by explaining exactly what I carry with me when I go out shooting.

I’ve been taking pictures since I was a kid, but only recently have I taken the time to evaluate my gear and shape my camera bag around exactly the type of photographs I’m taking. Having moved to Los Angeles recently, street photography seemed like an obvious transition for me. I fell in love with it, and it is now my primary style of shooting. I’ve now molded my gear around my needs, and while very simple, it handles just about anything I can throw at it. Let’s take a look!
