The other day, I finally got my hands on the extremely coveted Sony A77 camera. Though the reviews have already started to come out, I’m still waiting for my units to give them a full run through. However, this camera seemed extremely impressive during the brief time I spent with it.

After showing off pure and unedited image samples from the Ricoh GXR with the A12 Leica M Mount Module, the full review is now complete. As one of the well reviewed mirrorless cameras, the interchangeable mount system isn’t as popular as others. So does this one have what it takes to take Ricoh to the top?

Since our full review of the Olympus EP3 (or E-P3, EP-3, and EP 3) we’ve had inquiries about how the camera fares for use in full street photography. Make no mistake, the camera will not make you a better photographer, but the camera will indeed make many shooting situations a heck of a lot easier to deal with. This posting will chronicle my street photography outings that I had while the camera was on loan to me.

After some long and extensive reviewing, the Rokinon 85mm F/1.4 has been returned and we’re finally finished. To refresh, the Rokinon is a budget level 85mm lens with manual focus. But is it the right lens for you?

Not long ago, my co-worker Matt and I needed to get all dressed up for a wedding video shoot. We’re both the early birds of our departments, and I asked him if I could do a quick couple of portraits with him using the Rokinon 85mm F/1.4. He said go for it. It was around 8:30AM in the morning and the sunlight was very diffused. Previously, we’ve seen that the Rokinon has presented some challenges for me due to the manual focusing. So was it any better this time around?
