Weekend Humor: Olympus Tech Outfits E-P3 With X-Ray Filter

Chris Gampat the phoblographer ep3 review (6 of 7)

Editor’s Note: Weekend Humor isn’t meant to be taken seriously. So don’t, you jerk.

It was an accident of creation. Jackson McDonough had just been transferred to the Camera division from the Medical division of Olympus America. He had devoted his life to developing medical technologies when the higher ups saw fit to move him over to the other side. McDonough regarded the camera division with a certain degree of apprehension, and he sought to find a way to bring a little of the medical division into the camera field. After some initial tests, McDonough succeeded in outfitting an E-P3 with an X-Ray filter. His Instagram? Filled with boobs! Continue reading…

Review Update: Olympus EP3 (Raw File Test)

When we reviewed the Olympus EP3 (or EP-3 and E-P3), the raw files weren’t editable in Adobe Lightroom 3. With the release of the latest update, they are. We’ve already seen that the camera does a great job so far and it truly one of our favorites, but has Olympus really learned their lesson with the Micro Four Thirds sensor output?

Using the Olympus EP3 with Panasonic Lenses

After our Olympus EP3 review, (you guys call it the E-P3, EP-3 or EP 3) we started to get questions in asking us to do tests with Panasonic lenses. I decided to put the little camera against the next best thing: the Canon 7D. The 7D has some beastly autofocus algorithms and is almost always reliable no matter what. Take a look at the video below and then check out our analysis.
