Previously, we sank the Pentax WG-2 Tough Camera and hoped that it would not work. Unfortunately, it was too tough for me. So the other day, I decided to stomp on the camera.
Do you think it survived?

We’ve done an ISO Torture Test on the Pentax K-5 previously, when we compared it to the Nikon D7000, but now there’s a new kid on the block, the Sony A77, and we’ve put it through it’s high ISO paces against the well respected Pentax K5. So how does it stand up? Let’s find out!

Nikons newest contender in its pro market is one that’s shaking up the scene. Making fanboys rethink their loyalty, we can all say that we don’t need more pixels but that doesn’t mean more isn’t better. Coming from the Nikon D700 there wasn’t much to learn as far as features but there was when it comes to tightening up my skill set.

Pentax recently sent me the WG-2 rugged camera to test. In the period of the next month, I will be conducting various tests and shooting videos of them to see if the camera survives the hell that I try to put it through.
For the first test, I simply drowned it in a sink in both underwater video mode and normal video mode. Check out the video after the jump as well as one of the first stills I shot with the camera.

Here it is, the lovely Sony A77. I have this camera in my hands for a few weeks, and will be doing a full review on it, including tons of sample shots, and looking at 3 different A-mount lenses. In the mean time I wanted to tackle my first impressions and initial thoughts on the A77 from a Nikon D7000 user’s perspective. How does it feel to me?
Editor’s Note: When this was written, it was with the older firmware. We have updated it and noticed less lag. But with our unit, it doesn’t seem entirely gone.
