What do you do when you come across something related to photography that you don’t know? Maybe a new term or a technique you were previously unaware of? Chances are that you do what most people do when they don’t know something–you Google it. But when you do this you end up with a ton of extra things that may or may not be relevant, or even correct. The Photo Guide is an app for iOS that is designed to fix this problem by giving you access to photography education and learning in an app where you can be sure that you are not wasting your time searching through pages of junk websites to find the answer you were looking for.
The premise behind the app is simple; to have everything you could want to know about photography in one place, with vetted and correct information, helpful diagrams and videos. It is obviously meant for newer or learning photographers, but it can still be a helpful tool for veterans as well when you want to look up a photography related topic quickly.
The app itself is interactive and very easy to understand, perfect for a son or daughter in their early teens who is interested in photography. In fact, it is actually split into categories and the beginner’s category holds all the basics of photography for users to learn, the rest of the app offers insights, definitions, and inspiration.
The glossary would be especially useful to photographers attending workshops or watching tutorials when you hear a term you aren’t familiar with you just load up the app, search and within seconds you will know what it is, and if applicable, find a demonstration or example of it for you to visually see.
For their launch special the app is available for 40% off for the rest of July. You can find out more information over on their website or can download the app directly from the app store, here.
