Westcott and Jerry Ghionis have announced their latest collaboration in the form of the new Omega Reflector 360. The new reflector, like the original Omega reflector, features that shoot through design to allow you to get amazing light and catch lights in your subject’s eyes without the need for a complicated setup.
The biggest difference between the Omega reflector and the new Omega reflector 360 is the shape. As you may have guessed, the new Omega 360 features a circular shape similar to your average 5-in-1 reflector. The difference being, of course, the center shoot through hole being cut out. But in case you wanted to use the Omega Reflector 360 as a regular 5-in-1 reflector, it comes with a little reflector disc that you can place to cover the shoot through hole – effectively turning it into a standard 5-in-1 reflector.
Just as with Westcott’s standard reflectors, the Omega reflector 360 comes with a 1-stop diffuser, as well as an interchangeable silver, white, sunlight, and black sides to help you achieve the look that you are going for. According to the press release, the Wescott team say that the Omega reflector 360 has a look and quality of light similar to what you would expect from a ring light, but with the benefit of being much more portable and easy to store.
The Omega Reflector 360 is available for sale now over at the Westcott website for $129.90 in limited quantities. If you are interested you can purchase one direct through Westcott or just find out more information on their website, here.
