Yup, it was bound to happen this year for sure. Today, Fujifilm is announcing their brand new X-E2 camera–the successor to their X-E1. The new camera has a brand new 16.3MP X Trans II CMOS sensor at its heart. Of course, it’s still an APS-C sensor and there is also an EXR II processor to help with image processing. It includes other features too such a Lens Modulation Optimizer, .5 second startup according to what they’re claiming, 7fps shooting, dual split imaging or focus peaking for manual focusing, and the inclusion of WiFi.

The full spec rundown as well as images of the X-E2 and the X-Q1 are after the jump.
