At Photo Plus Expo 2012, I was introduced to a new photography backpack the Quovio 44 from Vanguard. Why it’s named that, I don’t know. I do know that this this backpack can handle a decent amount of gear, amongst other things. If you are a ultra active photographer, or always on the go, be it on a nature hikes or long photo walks in the city, the Quovio 44 may interest you.

Build Quality
The bag, while not heavy, feels well-constructed. The fabric seems very durable. The stitching seems nice and strong. The zippers and strong and seem like they will last a long time. There is adequate padding everywhere so that your expensive gear will be protected. The bottom of the bag is water resistant and there is rain protection included.
Customization
The bag can be configured in any way its owner wants. It can be a back pack and with a change of the straps it could be a sling pack. The interior dividers can be change around to hold the camera and lenses any way needed. Along with being a photography back pack and sling, the Quovio 44 can also be a daypack.
Gear
The Quovio 44 can hold a lot of gear. The pack has a huge amount of room. While I was not allowed to put gear in the bag, from examining the bags , and talking to the companies representative , I learned the Quovio 44 can carry a Full frame camera, with a grip and a 70-200 2.8lens with 3-45 other lenses, depending on their sizes. You can also add the typical accessories like memory and cleaning supplies and a few flashes. The bag has a spot for tripod to be carried and accessed without having to take the bag off.
First Impressions
The photographer who has crazy long days will like this bag. Landscape photographers will adore this bag. I can see multiple levels of photographers using this bag. This bag can be used almost anywhere. It’s not a huge bag but does hold a lot.
