I pre-ordered the D600 body about 15 minutes after it was announced and my order status is still “Backordered”.

I called B&H customer service for an explanation as to why their site says the camera is in stock and why my pro-order was listed as “backordered”. I was informed that my camera will ship tomorrow since I selected free shipping. After I got off the phone with B&H, my status changed to “In stock, order sent to warehouse”.
