Review: Olympus Pen Premium Case
Leather and curves are sexy—as is that whole retro style look trend currently happening. With this said, the Olympus Pen Premium Camera Case is one that many small camera owners may want to consider adding not only to their camera bag collection, but to their wardrobe. It often holds my Olympus EP-2 when going on photowalks, out to parties, to work if I’m not in need of something larger, and when I just need something smaller and more attractive.
To be quite honest, it’s become a piece of man jewelry and will be for many Micro Four Thirds camera owners.
Canon 5D Mk II vs Olympus EP-2: Studio Review
More than anything, my Canon 5D Mk II and Olympus EP-2 are both extremely important to me and for the most part, serve different purposes. Then one day, I was given the request from a co-worker/reader to make the two duel it out to see if the Olympus EP-2 is worth being called a professional’s backup camera. As a studio shooter these days, it only makes sense to see if the two can stay toe to toe in the studio. Throughout my time with the camera, I’ve already seen that the Olympus EP-2 is capable of doing most things that professionals and hobbyists would need or ask from their cameras. Indeed, I’ve used it to shoot some photojournalism, street photography, and even some video. But let’s see how the two manage at a portrait session.
The Complete Leica X1 Review
My time with the Leica X1 has come to an end. After spending a week with this premium compact camera, I’m pretty torn as to how I feel about it. Like the Sony NEX, the X1 is an impressive piece of engineering and it is a truly beautiful camera, but the price and some other less than desirable characteristics make the Leica X1 a tough camera to love. Field Review: Leica X1 (Day 5)
If you’ve read any of the previous posts in this review of the Leica X1, you know that I’ve compared the X1 to my Panasonic GF-1 quite a few times. I did this because they are similar in many ways. They both have roughly 35mm equivalent lenses and larger than normal sensors, and they’re geared towards the avid photographer that wants an advanced camera in a compact body. There is, however, one VERY big difference between the two, price. So is the X1 worth the premium? Let’s find out.

Long Term Review: Canon 85mm F/1.8 Lens
The Canon 85mm F/1.8 is the company’s budget level portrait lens, and a heck of a lens at that. Touted by photographers, Flickr groups, and reviewers as one of the best bang for your buck options; the 85mm is a lens that most people should at least consider. I’ve been shooting with this lens for over a year but never decided to do a full field review for the reason that it’s not new. However, this single long review will encompass some of the work that I’ve done throughout my various postings on this site, and we’ll help you determine whether or not it’s for you.
