Field Review: Leica M9 and 35mm F2.5 Summarit (Day 1)

At long last, I finally have gotten my hands on the Leica M9 for review. In addition to this, the nice folks over at the company have loaned the 35mm F2.5 Summarit to me as well. Here are the initial reactions to the camera as well as first impressions.

Hands on: Leica V-LUX 20

Upon a recent visit to the offices of Leica’s PR company in NYC, I was able to play with the Leica V-LUX 20 for a little while. Not long ago, a small review was completed based upon the Panasonic ZS-7, the camera that it is based off of. However, it also warned readers that at the time of writing it, I had not actually seen the V-LUX 20. So without further adieu, here is the preview.

With the imminent release of Sex and the City 2 on May 27th, I’d thought I’d share my experience of photographing Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of the movie while it was filming last summer. Those of you that are fans of the series and the movies may be delighted to know that Sarah is actually a very pleasant, sweet and nice person. In fact, she was one of my few positive experiences when photographing female celebrities back when I was a celebrity photographer.

Canon Announces New SD4000 IS ELPH Point and Shoot with Manual Control

Today, Canon announced their latest addition to the digital ELPH point and shoot line with the SD4000 IS. Prominent features include full manual control, an F2.0 lens as with the S90, and a CMOS backlit sensor. More specs and press release after the jump.

When we first start using it, we are immediately astonished by just how much the image quality of our cameras can improve.
