You can check out my original article on Blind Photographers here @ What Apple’s iPad May Mean to Blind Photographers (http://blog.blindphotographers.org/ipad/).

I hear that Photoshop has an app for the iPhone platform (http://mobile.photoshop.com/iphone/). I can only imagine that RAW support is on the way.

I am wholeheartedly looking to purchase the iPad, and I am amazed to see what kinds of appz and games will be deployed for it. I just don't grasp some of the nitpicky criticisms in this site. Size of the bezel?? Pffff!

Lots of of bloggers are not really happy with this new iPad.There was just 2 much hoopla over it and lots of blogers got turned off.Quite frankly, I for one see lots of the awesome potential uses of the gizmo. Third-party soft for playing tunes, games, newsprints and magazine and books, all kinds of awesome stuff, but IMHO they just didn't really sell it very well (aside from the books). It feels sort of undercooked

Although this idea is a great one, once again I have to remind people that the technology of "i" devices doesn't allow for input so the device can't be used for monitoring. This is why DSLR remote app has to use a computer tethered then send out video to the iphone as a sort of proxy version of Canon's program.

There is absolutely no incentive for Apple to allow their devices to be video input devices and no app is going to be able to take advantage of ports on any of the devices.

Given that however, the DSLR remote app will be awesome on the ipad maybe, and I've thinking how great it will be to have the ipad as a digital portfolio when I go to clients. I'm going to wait for price point change first though. If you think about how much it costs to buy a professional portfolio and the constant printing updating, etc, the i-pad basic level device is not much more in cost and will be quite flashy to present.

I was going to say or an adapter of some sort. Then I realized that it just might make things unnecessarily more complicated. However a Bluetooth enabled DSLR would be pretty sweet.

I had forgotten that the iPhone app arena has neglected the RAW file format. I image that capability will come with new apps. What we need is a Bluetooth enabled DSLR.
