I applied for the job and it was a spammer. If you click on the images in my posting you can see the whole email trail.

Out of curiosity - what made you flag that particular post? Was it something in the post, or did you google the company and didn't like what you saw?

I've had many problems with CL "jobs" before - so I'm wondering what your particular experience was here.

We so totally agree that craigslist has become a breeding ground for the media scums of the world. We have to go through hundreds of crap ads before we can find a potential serious ad. What's even more disturbing it is difficult to complain when there is no one to complain to. We guess maybe we need to move on too.

Hi James, while what is said in that article is partially true about "cheap labor" on craigslist, there are still LOADS of high end companies that check it out and offer their services there. I've gotten some of my biggest jobs through there.

I just posted this on CL and thought I would share it with you all.
----------------------
I bid you all goodbye and good luck its been fun on CL, but it time to go.

First off, I want to thank CL for all the many years of great service this site has given the many communities around the country. It truly has been great to have the ability to jump on a site for anything that came to mind.

With that said, and in addition due to the employment climate I have to raise question to the goings on in the Jobs and Gigs sections.

I'm sure you have been contacted many times about the fraudulent posts, be it spammers, miss posts, or people looking for freebies, but WOW its out of control.

I did my part over the years, as a avid reader to report spam, write comments, send a suggestion or answer a question or two - hoping that we all (those that come with pure of heart, burning with desire to work and give back) would prevail.

The sad truth is we can't; this site is just to big, with too many loop-wholes, facilitating a platform for conduct that raises the question. From under what rock did all you bums come from, who moved the rock allowing such primitive Neanderthals out of the cave.

I have come to the conclusion, regrettably, its time to move on from CL, there really is nothing here any more. There are no jobs been posted, but rather scammers, spammers and cheepos looking to get work done for nothing. Taking advantage of peoples talent/ creativity and many many years of hard working, training and studying their craft.

What a pity
