Panasonic Announces New Update to Lumix Line

Today, Panasonic announced an update to their Lumix camera line. Amongst the updates are the TS2 and the ZS-7, which I have had hands-on time with. The cameras have some brand spankin’ new features to the lines such as Intelligence Zoom and others (more on these in the hands on articles.) Target audiences and main specs after the jump.

ZS-7/5

- Hands on with the ZS-7

- 12.1MP (1/2.33 inch CCD sensor)

- 12x Optical Zoom (16x with Intelligent Zoom)

- 2.3fps

- 720p movie mode

- For enthusiasts

- 8x Optical zoom (10x with Intelligent Zoom)

- 720p movie mode

- For more economical enthusiasts

TS-2

- Hands on with the TS-2

- 14.1 MP (1/2.33inch CCD sensor)

- 4.6x Optical Zoom (F3.3-5.9)

- Intelligent Zoom gives it a 6x zoom.

- 720p Movie mode.

- For the trekker, parent with kids, college student that loves getting drunk, and outdoors people.

Edit: The TS2 is shockproof from 2 meters, which is approximately 6.6 feet.
